Guildhawk becomes signatory to manifesto for global industrial safety
Guildhawk is pleased to announce that it has become a signatory to the Manifesto for Global Industrial Safety to demonstrate its commitment to the development of technology-enabled solutions to address workplace safety risks.
The manifesto, which outlines how to use technology to address safety risks affecting workers, was developed by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), Lloyd’s Register Foundation, and the Global Manufacturing and Industrialization Summit (GMIS), in collaboration with Cambridge Industrial Innovation Policy (CIIP) at the University of Cambridge.
David Clarke, Director and Chief Security Officer at Guildhawk, said: “According to the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) almost 140 workers died in Great Britain as a result of workplace accidents in 2023/24. While this figure might seem small, the impact on families, friends and co-workers can be monumental. It is also the tip of the iceberg with millions of workers killed globally each year as a result of workplace accidents.”
“We believe that every business should strive to create the safest possible working environment for employees. Our clients share this vision and use our technology-led multilingual solutions to communicate important safety information to their workers in the languages they understand best.
With the rapid advancement of technology and the increasing complexity of industrial processes, the need for a unified approach to safety has never been more critical. By working together, we can reduce workplace accidents and protect workers.”
