Guildhawk to showcase the UK’s new cutting-edge translation technologies in Hong Kong
Next month, the UK Department for International Trade (DIT) will exhibit at the Hong Kong International ICT Expo 2022 (13-16 October).
Cutting-edge translation technologies in Hong Kong
Jurga, Ian and more virtual humans from the Guildhawk team will be on hand to show delegates how new translation technologies are transforming language.
Gammon Construction Hong Kong, a global leader in digital transformation, have already formed a joint venture with Guildhawk to use our machine translation technology to revolutionise communications.
Gammon’s expertise in engineering and construction is blended with Guildhawk’s cutting-edge technologies to quickly and efficiently translate content in absolutely any format, from old paper documents to video. Multilingual communication is particularly challenging in built-environment projects as people with a range of different mother tongues work together.
The new solution will use machine learning and Guildhawk’s artificial intelligence (AI). This will allow seamless communication of technical content to anyone involved in a project.
The solution is powered by Guildhawk’s multilingual data lake, creating a Single Source of Truth (SSOT). All content in our data lake has been created by human experts. Unlike some lakes, it does not include the kind of poor translations that consistently create poor results.
Thanks to introductions made by DIT, Guildhawk is using our technology to help several global companies in Hong Kong to improve multilingual communication in their respective sectors.
At the expo, DIT will showcase investment opportunities in the UK. Guildhawk is one of the companies that is now open to investment, and is backed by the Government’s Innovate UK Scale Up Programme.
"The new solution will use machine learning and Guildhawk’s artificial intelligence. This will allow seamless communication of technical content to anyone involved in a project."
You don’t have to look far to understand why Hong Kong is so hot when it comes to new technology for smart cities. Renowned for its global financial centre and ease of doing business, Hong Kong is set to become the new technology hub of China.
It’s no secret that China drives global economic growth in manufacturing and construction. With China and the USA as global economic powerhouses, there are now two major languages of international trade, English and Chinese. New technology can help you to inspire millions of people in their own language.
Chinese is important because about 1.3 billion people (1/5 of the world) speak some form of Chinese. That makes it the language with the most native speakers globally.
To discover the remarkable opportunities available in Hong Kong, come and visit DIT on stand 1E-D30 at the Hong Kong International ICT Expo 2022. Guildhawk’s virtual humans shall see you there!
